I am a qualified UKCP registered psychoanalytic psychodynamic attachment based psychotherapist with experience of working in private practice, the NHS and faith settings. I work with adults, Families, children, couples, groups, senior citizens and young people from diverse backgrounds of races, needs, abilities, cultures, genders, sexuality – both in therapy and my work in the community.
I provide brief counseling/psychotherapy for asylum seekers/immigrants experiencing psychological, physiological, emotional or relational stress or illness relating to issues of loss/separation, trauma or other life crises. Other areas of therapy practice experience include relationship difficulties, OCD, Addictions/dependency, spirituality, attachment issues, parenting, trauma, physical/emotional/sexual abuse, phobias, severe anxiety, loss, bereavement, separation and divorce, anger management, depression, race & cultural issues, identity, self-confidence and self-esteem and eating disorders.
I also provide long-term therapy of 2 to 5 years duration in line with my training as a psychoanalytic psychodynamic psychotherapist. I am a training to be a supervisor of other counselors.
